The new site and brand were designed to refresh the look and feel and deliver the user an intuitive experience in recepedia's site. The goal was to make simpler to find and upload recipes in the platform.
Using Unilever's BWS platform, the challenge was to disrupt the pre-defined templates so we could do something that didn't look commoditized.
The development of the site started from the promise to have a full responsive tool to view and upload recipes, exploring the beauty of recipe's images. To start it, most of the recipe's images were retaken to level the quality.
A first screen was created to give the user options to choose which food categories he/she would look for. Then, a powerful search tool, combined with food categories was designed to help the user to find anything in the site. This is the most important asset of the Recepedia's new site: understand the user needs and give him/she the Perfect Recipe.
Most of Recepedia's pages are full of delightful images and cross content to help the user to find what attract him/she the most.
Some assets, like a timer to help the user to measure each step of the recipe will be implemented soon, so the experience gets even more interesting.
A complex project, but at the end, we were all greatful to be part of it.
